The Onyx Program, Vancouver Community Action Team and the video, “We Were Built to Last” received international recognition at the 2nd International Conference on Restorative Practices. Over 300 participants from all over the world including Australia, US, and New Zealand were in Vancouver for a week long conference on restorative practices. Onyx Program Manager Wilf Leung was invited to present the video and speak about the music project which was funded by the Assistant Deputy Minister’s Committee on Prostitution and Sexual Exploitation. Feedback was tremendous as delegates commended the project’s involvement of youth and the video’s messages of power, hope and healing.
